W7 IN THE NUDE PALETTE

For Christmas this year, one of my stocking fillers was this palette from W7 called In The Nude. Look familiar? That’s because it is without a doubt yet another dupe for the much loved Naked 3 palette.┬áThe Naked 3 was greeted with some mixed reviews from within the Beauty community, some not so in love with the majority of shades being pink toned. I however, thought the rose toned colours were a nice change from the usual everyday neutral shades we saw from Naked 1 and 2.┬áHaving not owned the Naked 3 palette myself I do have little to compare this one from W7 to but none the less, this eyeshadow palette for me is a little gem.

As with W7’s other palettes, their packaging is quite sturdy and can withstand being knocked about in your handbag due to its tin casing. Inside the palette itself you don’t get a big mirror which can limit the use of this palette when out and about but for the price of it, you really can’t complain. A small double ended brush is included which might come in handy if you don’t own many brushes.

With 12 shades in all, I find the pigmentation in these eyeshadows to be great. For such a cheap palette in comparison to the Naked 3, these shadows show up really strong on the lid and are easily blended out. Some of the lighter matte shades like Latte and Marilyn are not so great though, and do require the use of a heavy hand when applying them to the lids. My favourites would have to be Fashionista and Bad Manners which although they’re both quite shimmery shades, they look great when creating a smokey eye. The lasting powder of these eyeshadows are pretty reasonable on their own but for best results I would normally use a primer first.

Have you tried this palette from W7? What were your thoughts?

I have both the W7 In The Nude and I got the Naked 3 for Christmas. I have had the W7 since November (along with the whole collection of W7 palettes!) and I have tried both of them together and I have found them to be easily comparable. The shades are very similar and it is an excellent dupe for the Naked 3 that you could easily pass the shades off as the naked 3 (but you would never do that of course as UD has rightfully earned its reputation and status among the beauty community).
